Easter Project
A personal project made to highlight the promise of Easter, inspired by the iconic verse, John 3:16.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
The desire for the opening scene was to show a different variation of God the father to the classic Gandalf stereotype.
Care was taken to craft a warm appearance with body language that conveyed God the father’s deep care and compassion for the world.
The two spaces of heaven and earth have defined visual languages. Heaven beams with vibrancy, colour and movement while earth is cool, dark and rough.
Masked shapes of the heavenly textures are used to show moments in the Easter story where heaven breaks through into Earth’s reality.
